Third Eye Blind
Third Eye Blind is performing on the Uline Warehouse stage Thursday, June 18th. Their self-titled 1997 album was a huge success and is known for 3 Top 10 hits on the US Billboard Hot 100 (most notably their song “Semi-Charmed Life”). Stephen Jenkins, the primary songwriter and frontman of the group, is playing an additional set at 2:00 PM before the full band’s performance.
Passion Pit
Massachusetts based indie pop band, Passion Pit, is making their way to the Midwest for the opening day of Summerfest. You can catch frontman Michael Angelakos and the touring band two different times on June 18th. First at 4:00 PM at the American Family Insurance House before their 10:15 PM headlining set at the T-Mobile Stage. You are sure to hear some of their classics like “Take a Walk” and “Little Secrets”, so make sure to stop by!
June 19th
Hot Mulligan
Hot Mulligan is currently on tour and will be making a stop at Summerfest’s Uline Warehouse stage on Friday, June 19th at 9:30 PM. The band is experiencing explosive growth and is one of the most recognizable names in the current emo scene right now. Their albums Why Would I Watch and you’ll be fine were both critically acclaimed, and have helped propel the band to success. They will also be playing a set at 6:00 PM at the American Family Insurance House before their later show.
Tiny Voices
Originally from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Tiny Voices is playing at 3:30 on the Uline Warehouse Stage. The emo and pop punk band’s most recent album Reasons I Won’t Change made BrooklynVegan’s list of 50 Best Punk Albums of 2025. You’ll only be able to see this Wisconsin staple one time at Summerfest, but you can find the band playing frequent shows around the Midwest.
June 20th
Braid
90s emo mainstay Braid will be playing on the Miller Lite Oasis stage this Saturday, June 20th at 8:30 PM. The band is well known for their 1998 album Frame & Canvas, which has influenced countless emo and post-hardcore bands in the late 90s and beyond. Originally formed in Champaign, Illinois, Braid has always had a strong Midwest presence. After playing Summerfest, the band plans to head to the UK to play a short tour with Hey Mercedes, a project that shares three members of Braid.
Flipturn
Flipturn is helping close off weekend 1 of Summerfest with a 9:30 PM set at the Miller Lite Oasis stage. While no strangers to the area, the indie rock band formed in Florida in 2015. They’ve stopped in Madison quite a few times and even played Summerfest back in 2024. Since then, they’ve put out their album Burnout Days and recently released Burnout Days (Reimagined) in March of this year, which features different artists and remixes of the 2025 release. Don’t miss flipturn’s 9:30 PM set this year at Summerfest!
